Shrub or small tree; leaves opposite, lanceolate, subcoriaceous, dark-green; flowers yellow, solitary, terminal; fruits berry, ovoid, orange-yellow, solitary, 6 - 8 seeded.

Distribution : Occurring only under cultivation.

Uses :  Fruits used in bloo dysentery and indigestion.
