A medium size deciduous tree with drooping branches; leaves elliptic-oblong, coriaceous; flowers white, fragrant, in cymes; fruits ovoid, yellow, glossy.

Distribution :    Usually planted.

Uses :  Bark used in tonic, fever and in ulcers in mouth; leaves used in swelling and inflammation.
