Perennial twining shrub; stem softly woody; leaves alternate, linear to ovate-oblong, petiolate, simple, entire; flowers small, irregular; fruits capsule.

Distribution :  Common in foothill areas.

Uses :  Roots used in whooping cough and used as diuretic.
